THE FIRST AMENDMENT*!
Updated: May 4, 2021
Much love to ALL of my readers for purchasing and/or reading my book, The Things I Used to Do. It's sold beyond my expectations, and I'm hoping this new update will give it an even larger audience. If you can spare a few minutes (okay, twenty) please watch the video below - it also includes a short reading of one of my favorite sections of the book. PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE IS SOME SALTY LANGUAGE USED IN MY BOOK - IF THIS OFFENDS YOU, OR YOU'RE WATCHING AT WORK (YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!), YOU MAY WANT TO SKIP THE READING!
If you can't spare the time right now, the upshot is that the update (or amendment*, as Maybe Best might say) provides a much cleaner and more professional looking copy (of course, I didn't do this by myself - I had to pay for such expert help... thanks, Daiana)! The new and improved copies are available at Country Morning Coffee in lovely Kewanee, Illinois, and at the Bishop Hill Creative Commons in historic Bishop Hill, Illinois. Of course, you can always purchase it through Amazon, especially if you're looking for the Kindle version. If you're a Kindle Unlimited subscriber, it's FREE right now! It's been updated and perfected as well - no more weird fonts or indentations, and there's now a clickable table of contents that takes you right to the chapter you want to read. The story, however, hasn't changed. Yeah, I know, I know - I should've had someone do this to begin with, but hey - it's my first book. Hopefully by the tenth, I'll have this whole thing perfected (but I sincerely doubt it)!
Anyway, I'm quite pleased with the finished product - hope you are as well! BTW... if you're looking for a discounted version of this book, I still have five signed copies - first come, first serve - that I'm selling for $8.50 each, plus shipping. Drop me a line if you're interested, or comment below. Thanks for reading (and watching)!
(For all of my Cuba High School peeps, yes, I know I'm channeling Mrs. Smysor in the video still below - but I can't figure out how to change it OR my face)!
